1. Personal Data We Collect

For the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice, Hotel MERIDA may obtain your personal data through the following means:

Personally, when you provide it to our employees by filling out your registration card upon entering the hotel or at our reception desk. Likewise, when you complete satisfaction and service feedback questionnaires.

Directly, when you provide it to us by phone or electronically, by filling out the reservation form on our website, interacting on our social media, or by email.

Indirectly, when you provide your personal data to any of our suppliers, such as travel agencies or third parties that support us during the reservation process, such as Easy-Rez.com and PayPal.

The personal data obtained or that may be obtained through the aforementioned means are:

First and last name(s), marital status, address, contact telephone number, nationality, email address, signature, cardholder name, credit card number, expiration date (in the case of online transactions), billing name or company name, RFC (Tax Identification Number), tax address, and billing email address. Interests or preferences related to the room and services requested. IP address and browser type when obtained electronically.

We inform you that Hotel MERIDA does not collect data that is considered sensitive personal data by the LFPDPPP (Spanish Law on Personal Information).

2.- Purpose and Processing of Personal Information

The personal data you provide will be used by Hotel MERIDA to provide the following services:

To guarantee a reservation.

To maintain guest records.

To contact guests when necessary, including completing transactions, any matter related to their stay, in order to provide the best possible service and attention, or in case of an emergency.

Obtain billing information if required.

Comply with all legal provisions required by Hotel MERIDA within the framework of its business relationship with you. This transfer may be national or international, depending on the authority requesting it.

Protect the interests and rights of Hotel MERIDA, in accordance with legal provisions.

3. Additionally, we have the following purposes that do not give rise to a legal relationship nor are necessary for the provision of the service:

Sending e-postcards, promotions, newsletters, satisfaction surveys, and opinions regarding the service or the website.

4. Limitation on the Use or Disclosure of Personal Information

At any time, you may object to the processing of your personal data for purposes that do not give rise to the legal relationship or are not necessary for the provision of the service, or revoke the consent you have given us to process your personal data. This request must be submitted in writing to the Personal Data Department at the following address: Calle 60 No. 491 B between Calle 55 and 57, Colonia Centro

This request must contain the following: a) Name of the data subject; b) Email address for receiving notifications; c) Documents proving your identity or, where applicable, the data subject's legal representative; d) A clear and precise description of the personal data for which you are seeking to exercise the right and the right you intend to exercise; e) Any other element or document that facilitates locating the personal data. If the request does not meet any of the requirements indicated above, the Personal Data Department may request that you provide the necessary elements or documents within 5 days of receiving the request. You will have 10 days to respond to the request; if you do not respond within this period, the corresponding request will be considered not submitted.

 

The response period will be a maximum of 20 days from the date the request is received to inform you of the decision made. If appropriate, the decision will be made effective within 15 days of the response. To protect your confidentiality, Hotel MERIDA will send the response to your request to the email address you provided for this purpose and will keep it available to the requester at the address indicated in the previous paragraph.

5. ARCO Rights

This refers to the Access, Rectification, Cancellation, or Objection regarding the information you provide to Hotel MERIDA, as set forth in the Federal Law on Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP). You may do so by submitting a request to Hotel MERIDA, in accordance with the provisions of section 4 above. You will receive a response in accordance with the terms indicated therein.

6. Control and security of your personal data.

Hotel MERIDA is committed to taking the necessary security measures to protect and prevent the loss, misuse, alteration, or unlawful disclosure of the information and personal data you provide to us. For online transactions, we use security technologies that protect the personal information transmitted to us through various electronic means, such as the use of a secure server under the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. However, no security or data transmission system over which the company does not have absolute control and/or which is dependent on the internet can guarantee its complete security.

7. Electronic Media and Cookies

Hotel MERIDA does not use cookies or web beacons to collect information. However, some of the companies that provide us with reservation and payment services may use cookies and web beacons; therefore, we ask you to read the Privacy Notice of each of them.

Hotel MERIDA reserves the right to make modifications or updates to this Privacy Notice at any time to reflect the entry into force of new regulations or internal policies.
